Coke Zero at Daytona

This week we leave the weird world of road racing and return to plate racing. Once the sole domain of the Earnhardt’s the big ovals now have many contenders. This week will see the usual suspects; Jimmie Johnson working with Dale Jr, Martin and Gordon teaming up, Stewart and Newman trying to stay close and Edwards and maybe Kenneth in the mix.

I believe when the high speed racing from Daytona is done Dale Jr will have broke his winless streak. Jimmie owes him a push and it’s time Junior collected.

Look for the 88 to be first to pass the checkered flag with the 48 on his back bumper. Then the party starts for the Earnhardt Nation. This may be bigger than when Dale won the 500 in 2004.

I can’t wait! If Dale Jr wins this one I may shoot all the fireworks I bought for the fourth.
